Tricia Marie’s is vibrant, creative salon in Wooster, Ohio. Yet at only three-years-old, they were already ranked as one of the top 200 salons in the nation. How did this happen? It all started with an unprecedented vision. They wanted to bring New York Style to Northeast Ohio Ð not an easy task for any company, especially one located in a small, rural area.
Tricia Marie’s commissioned TRAIT to make the vision a reality. By assigning the name Tricia Marie’s to its image, the company immediately embodied the identity of the founder and the big persona she is known for. A typographic treatment was hand rendered by a calligrapher in order to reflect the artistry of the salon’s work. Having national recognition for coloring techniques and credibility from their work being shown on international runway shows, it would be a mistake not to incorporate the concept into the identity. The “T” and the “M” in the logotype create a visual cue and allude to a lock of hair. It is foil stamped and alternately colored on all materials.
The following steps were clear: create the environment and foster growth. TRAIT managed the architecture and branding of a new location, which was vital and in achieving an environment that customers would remember and enjoy. Every step of the way, TRAIT played a hand in all the brand decisions of the salon. It now has 15 employees and has earned national recognition.
